KS Boardriders Award Mechanics
Typhoons and Monsoon winds light up our playground all around the Philippines. We are blessed with a long season of tropical weather with large swells from the Pacific and West Philippine Sea.
The Philippines is home to some of the best upcoming surfers. Unfortunately we miss out on the opportunities presented abroad. So we want to raise the talents of the Philippines to the international world.
KSBoardriders.com is looking for the charger of the season. With islands of pumping surf all around the Philippines, we want to unleash who is the charger of the season, by busting the biggest air, pulling into the largest pit or styling your way across a wave with the toes on the nose. Put in your vote along with the 3 best Judges in the Philippines to unearth the biggest charger in the country.

Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Sponsors’ sole discretion. Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a prize for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason. Winners are responsible for all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use. Limit: One (1) prize per person, per category.

RULES & REGULATIONS
- Entry is free and is open to all Philippine residents of 3 years or more.
- Videographer does not need to be a resident of the Philippines.
- Video or photo sequence must tag on Instagram #KSBoardridersAward
- Video or photo sequence must have been taken in the Philippines between September 4, 2020 to April 1, 2021. AWARDING DAY IS APRIL 3, 2021.
- Video or photo sequence must be original. The participant must be the author of the footage submitted with no edits or watermarks.
We looking for the surfer who rides;
- The most solid and best barrel.
- The biggest and most technical air.
- The surfer with the best style image of one foot or more on the nose of their board.
- Submissions must be filmed with a video or sequence of 5 or more shots in the PHILIPPINES ONLY and note the region. Luzon, Visayas or Mindanao. (No need for specific location names).
- By participating, Surfers and Videographers acknowledge they are participating at their own risk and that neither KS Boardriders, Kudo Surf nor any Sponsor is responsible for any physical harm or death that may befall any Surfer or Videographer as a result of participation in these contests.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
- The biggest and best barrel award is open to individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry (except by express permission of a parent or guardian).
- Judges will not be allowed to judge if any of the participants are immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children).
- This is free surf only. No footage filmed during a surf competition or event will be allowed.
- It is prohibited to use representation of third party intellectual properties, including but not limited to logos, brands, characters, images, and styles.
JUDGING AND RESULTS
Photos selected by the judges are final. Kudo Surf and KSBoardriders along with the Judges reserves the right to refuse all correspondence pertaining to the selection process and decision.
Judges will evaluate the images based on the following criteria:
– Wave Size (25%);
– Degree of Difficulty of Maneuvers (25%);
– Style (25%); and
– Overall “Heaviness” Factor (25%).
Judges reserves the right not to award the prizes if the images submitted do not meet the requirements.
Judges will be from all 3 regions. 1 x Luzon, 1 x Visayas, 1 x Mindanao.
VIDEO / IMAGE TECHNICAL STANDARDS
Participant may submit multiple entries but only one per wave.
- All entries must be submitted via Instagram Hashtag #KSBoardridersAward. You upload to your own Instagram and we will share it to our website. If file is too large then contact us for email submission: social@kudosurf.com. (Email Subject: KSBoardriders Award_Your Full Name).
- All video entries must be uploaded in native raw form, as shot on the camera. The Submission must be shot in HD or Higher Resolution (720p, 1080p, 2.5k, 4k)
- Photo sequences are acceptable if 5 or more frames.
- The Submission must not be edited.
- The Submission must be submitted without any watermarks.
